Setup and display

The picker doesn't appear in the cart.

Check Installation status on Otodoke's home page. If it says Not installed, click "Add the date picker to the cart page", move the picker above the checkout button in the theme editor, and save. If your theme opens the cart as a side drawer, also click "Turn on the date picker in the cart drawer" on the home page.

Does it work with themes that open the cart as a side drawer?

Yes. Click "Turn on the date picker in the cart drawer" on Otodoke's home page and save. The picker appears just above the checkout button in the drawer. If it doesn't show up, you can set where it's inserted under Cart drawer in Delivery settings.

Does it change my theme code?

No. The picker is added in the theme editor as an app block (or an app embed). If you uninstall the app, no app code is left in your theme files.

Can I match the picker's look to my theme?

You can adjust the picker's font size, colors, spacing, and so on from your theme's CSS. You can change its headings and messages for each language on Otodoke's Translations page.

Date settings

How are the available delivery dates decided?

They're calculated from your preparation days, transit days, same-day cutoff time, shipping holidays, and non-delivery days. Use the Delivery date preview in Delivery settings to see which dates are available with your current settings.

Can I close on public holidays or over the New Year?

Yes. You can import public holidays into your shipping holidays. For the New Year, summer holidays, and similar breaks, add them as a date range under Long holidays.

Can I use different preparation days for different products?

Yes. In Per-product settings under Delivery settings, set preparation days by product tag or choose products that can't have a delivery date. When products with different tags are in the same cart, the longest number of days is used.

Can I set my own time slots?

Yes. Add your carrier's time slots with one click, then add, remove, or reorder them. You can also skip time slots and let customers choose only a date (the "date only" selection type).

Orders and checkout

Where can I see the date and time the customer chose?

It appears under "Additional details" on the order page. You can also show it on the thank you page, the order status page, and in the order confirmation email (setup required).

Can I stop orders placed without a delivery date?

If you make the delivery date required in Delivery settings, customers who go to checkout without choosing a date are asked to go back to the cart and choose one. On Shopify Plus stores, with the Plus plan, customers can also choose the date inside the checkout.

Can I use it together with another delivery date app?

We don't recommend it. Apps that write the same attribute names can overwrite each other's values. When you switch, remove the other app's blocks and app embeds before setting up Otodoke.

Pricing plans

Can I try it for free?

Every plan includes a 14-day free trial. On development stores, you can try all plan features for free.

Do Shopify Plus stores need the Plus plan?

No. Shopify Plus stores can use the cart picker and checkout validation on the Basic plan. You only need the Plus plan if you want customers to choose the date inside the checkout.

What happens to the dates on orders if I uninstall?

Dates already saved under "Additional details" on existing orders stay as they are. The app's settings are deleted and billing stops.
