Add transit days by prefecture | Otodoke Help

If some regions such as Hokkaido or Okinawa take longer to reach, you can add transit days for each prefecture.

Set this in the app under Delivery settings → Settings by prefecture.

Steps

1. Turn on **Add transit days by prefecture**.
2. For each region, enter the days to add to the default transit days. 0 keeps the default. The resulting days are shown next to the field.
3. If days differ within a region, open **Set by prefecture** and enter them for each prefecture.
4. Select **Save**.

What customers see in the cart

A **Destination prefecture** field appears in the cart picker.

• After a prefecture is chosen, only dates that can be delivered there are offered.
• Before a prefecture is chosen, only dates that work for every prefecture (the longest) are offered.
• The chosen prefecture is remembered on the customer's device. It is not saved to the order.

Good to know

• **Checkout doesn't validate against the per-prefecture days yet.** It uses the default transit days. If the actual destination differs from the prefecture chosen in the cart, checkout is not blocked.
• This setting is not shown when the selection type is time slot only.
• When the cart includes a product whose tag has no date (time slot only or no date selection), the prefecture field is not shown.
